Join the highly skilled hospital medicine team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, as our lead advanced practice clinician (APC). The Lead APC will work with the facility medical director (FMD) and regional medical director (RMD)/vice president of operations (VPO) to assure that advanced practice clinicians are utilized within the standards set by the state and medical staff guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications/Experience and Education:- Graduation from an advanced registered nurse practitioner training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Certification by American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurse Credentialing Center within one year of completion of the degree or
- Graduation from a physician assistant training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and
- Current Certification in ACLS and PALS, as specified per medical staff requirement
Experience:- Preferred minimum of three years experience as an APC in an inpatient setting
- Prefer previous leadership/management experience
- Must be in the top quartile for metrics and documentation; if from outside, must meet these goals within 90 days; be an example for other APCs in accomplishing metrics
