JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Computerized Tomography CT
Shift timings: Rotating shift times needed for contract: Wed and Thurs 1400-2230, Fri and Sat 1900-0700
Per Week: 40 Hours
BLS, ARRT registered, State of WI license.
No Call; Weekends: every Friday and Saturday; Holidays
Responsibilities
Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current CT Technologist experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
Active unencumbered Wisconsin CT Tech/Radiology Tech state license
One year of Cerner FirstNet experience
Accredited Registered Radiology Technologist
