Job Description

Job Title: Travel Contract – MRI Tech

Number of positions: 1

Years of experience: One to three years

Shift: Day shifts– 40 hours

Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: Varies

JOB DESCRIPTION​​

Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Shift timings: 13:30 - 22:30- Monday to Friday (3 Days/12 Hours)

Per Week: 36 Hours

Friday 22:30-07:00, Sat/Sunday 19:00-07:00

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.

  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.

  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.​

Qualifications

  • ​​​​BLS and ACLS

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • ​Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • The ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Passionate about patient care

  • Requires a minimum of two years of current MRI Tech experience.

  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/MRI Tech program

  • Active unencumbered MRI Tech Oklahoma license

  • One year of Cerner experience

  • ARRT Certification


Requirements

· COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
