Cooley Dickinson Health Care an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA, NP, CNM) for day to day oversight of Quality and Patient Safety. This position will help shape the vision of and provide leadership to the quality and safety strategies and overall operations of Cooley Dickinson Health Care.

 This is a full-time position, that will split their time between an administration and clinical role. It offers a desirable Monday through Friday schedule. The administrative portion of this role will make up roughly 75% of the time and will be located at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. The remaining 25% of this role, will provide primary care clinical services in one of our six ambulatory locations.

 Day to day responsibilities will include:

1. Reviewing the medical/clinical evaluation and processing of all reported events.
2. Support and implement related initiatives to the safety reporting process, like the addition of Just Culture, participation and implementation of simulation across departments or of follow-up to reporters.
3. Clarify and integrate information developed in the course of root cause analyses, including integration of views from various services, with coordination of meetings and de-briefings of these events, and synthesis of the findings and recommendations with derivation of appropriate interventions.
4. Serve as clinical advisor to case management and participate in or lead various quality and safety committees as assigned.

 The ideal candidate for this position will have five to ten years’ experience in a clinical setting with some leadership/management experience preferred, as well as some experience with patient safety and process improvement implementation in a healthcare setting. Candidate must be a succinct, timely and tactful communicator. Actively licensed (PA, NP, CNM) in the State of Massachusetts preferred.
