The Providence Brain and Spine Institute, a center of excellence within Providence, is seeking a full-time Acute Care nurse practitioner to work in a state-of-the-art hospital. Join an established team and support Neurosurgical patients in emergency department and hospital settings. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with Neurosurgeons to grow the inpatient Neurosurgical nurse practitioner service for Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centers. In this role, there will be no intraoperative expectations, only excellent evaluation and management of the Neurosurgical patients, from emergency room care to hospital discharge. - 12-hour shifts; 3 to 4 days per week
- Inpatient care only
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- AGACNP certification required
- Other nurse practitioner certifications with inpatient experience will be considered

Providence Brain & Spine Institute is a renowned neuroscience center focused on leading neurological care models and clinical research. The Institute specializes in stroke and acute rehab, neurosurgical and orthopedic care, and treatment of MS, dementia, ALS and epilepsy. Partnered with the broader Providence Medical Group, caregivers work directly with providers to identify clinical trials appropriate for a patient’s specific type and stage of disease to help improve health and quality of life.
