Physician Assistant (PA) - General Physical Therapy


Job Description

A premier Pain Management group where physical therapy is an integral part of our treatment plan to help relieve pain and restore function. We offer a fully staffed physical therapy department and are proud to have a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF) certified Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Outpatient Program

  • Compensation: $93k-$103k based on experience

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Shifts: M-F 7:30a-4p

  • Lots of spinal issues but sees everything

  • Average daily appointments: 8-10 (with a hard cap at 12)

  • Patient population: Mainly chronic pain

Responsibilities

The group has 5 docs and 10 mid-levels throughout their 3 locations. All new patients see the physicians then the PA would place the order for in-house PT
Our physical therapists incorporate hands-on therapy known as manual therapy, helping to alleviate discomfort associated with deep pain by feeling the muscles and joint stiffness.


Physical Therapy Plans may include:

  • Manual Therapy

  • Dry Needling

  • Posture Awareness/Body Mechanics

  • Gait Training

  • Therapeutic Exercise

  • Neuromuscular Re-evaluation

  • Cryotherapy

  • Heat Stimulation

  • Electrical Stimulation

  • Virtual Reality

  • Ultrasound

Qualifications
  • BLS and ACLS

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • ​Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • The ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Passionate about patient care

  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Physical Therapist experience.

  • Graduate from a fully accredited Physical Therapist program

  • Active unencumbered Mississippi Physical Therapist state license

  • One year of EMR experience

Requirements

· COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
