p]Partnering with a client in central Alabama that has an opening for a Pain Management Physician to join their team.

About the Position:

  • Schedule: 7:30a-4:30p, 5-day workweek

  • Call, 1:5 (extremely rare to be called)

  • Split time between clinic and procedures

  • Daily Volume: 24 patients on clinic days, 30-35 procedures on procedure days

  • Support Staff: MAs and office staff

  • Board certification required

  • Competitive base salary

  • Medical malpractice insurance

  • $2500 for CMEs

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Active unencumbered MD or DO Alabama state license

  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program

  • One year of work experience as an Pain Management Anesthesiologist

  • One year of EMR experience

  • Board certification: chronic pain or pain medicine BC/BE in pain medicine

  • Will hire a Fellow / new graduate

  • Residency in Anesthesia (preferred not required)

  • PMR (only if boarded in pain – not preferred candidate but would consider)

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:
