Responsibilities
A hospital in upstate New York has an opening for a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to assist their team.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p
1 offsite weeknight call per week (~5p-7a), 1 24-hour offsite weekend call per week
Annual Volume: 11-12k cases (includes ambulatory surgery center volumes)
Patient Population: Neonates & older
Cases: General, ENT, ortho, uro, plastics, neurosurgery, pulmonary, ophthalmology, dental/oral surgery - no cardiac
5 pediatric ORs, cath lab, 2 MRI, GI, CT scan, IR, and 2 ophthalmology
1:2 supervision of residents or CRNAs
EMR: Epic
Board-certification & fellowship required
Paid travel & lodging
Long-term assignment

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered New York Anesthesiologist state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as Anesthesiologist
One year of Epic experience
Board Certified

Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
