Seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an existing team of physicians.
As one of our anchor services,
We are looking to bring on another Cardiothoracic Surgeon on to help us grow our Integrated Cardiovascular Service Line and further strengthen our growing Quaternary care program.
The ideal candidate would be an established physician with experience and interest in adult cardiac, thoracic surgery, minimally invasive robotic techniques and the knowledge and interest in working on the arch.
The ability to provide vascular services, TAVR and/or Endovascular services would be a plus.
Responsibilities
The scope of practice currently includes all aspects of Adult Cardiac Surgery, On and Off-Pump CABG, Mitral Repair, an active TAVR program, arrhythmia surgery as well as endovascular and open aortic surgery including dissection repair. A broad spectrum of thoracic surgical procedures are performed including minimally invasive lung resections, transhiatal esophagectomy, and complex anti-reflux procedures.
Practice, ER and Hospital Call: 1:4
3 APRNS on the team for support
The practice is open M-F from 8-5.
The current schedule is one day per week in the clinic and four days in the OR while managing in-patients each day.
Current Cardiology composition includes
Five Interventional Cardiologists
Eight Non-invasive/imaging Cardiologists
Four Electrophysiologists
Four Cardiothoracic surgeons
Eleven Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physicians
Three Vascular Surgeons
Qualifications
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Relevant State License
Relevant State DEA
3+ Years of experience (3-8 years is ideal)
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
Active unencumbered Florida physician state license
One year of Epic experience
