Responsibilities
Proud to partner with a hospital in Washington, D.C., that has an opening for a skilled Critical Care Physician to join their team full-time.

Position Overview:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off
Call Requirement: None
Setting: Closed ICU, 20 beds
Trauma Designation: Level III
Required Procedures: Central line insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, intubations (anes available 24/7), arterial line insertion, pig tail placement
ICU Team: Attendings, APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Internal Medicine Washington DC state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Intensivist
One year of Cerner EMR experience
Board Certified

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
