Danbury and New Milford Hospitals, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking an 0.6 FTE Emergency Medicine Physician to be 75% based at Danbury Hospital and 25% based at New Milford Hospital in Danbury and New Milford, Connecticut, located about 60 and 85 miles northeast of New York City. Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. We treat about 70,000 patients annually, with approximately 900 trauma cases. At New Milford Hospital, our ER treats 16,000 patients annually in our newly renovated department. Our team of 22 physicians and 14 physician assistants provide 24/7 coverage at both locations.

New Milford Hospital is an 85-bed community hospital, serving the residents of the greater Litchfield County area in CT for almost 100 years. Our Emergency Department, newly renovated in 2015, is an 11,000-square-foot, sustainable and “green” space, equipped with all private patient rooms, specialty care areas and an expanded triage desk.
Danbury, Connecticut, located on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four-season recreational activities. The area has highly rated public and private schools. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train or car.

Job Summary:
Provide a variety of clinical medical services to patients presenting to the Hospital's emergency department, including evaluation and management.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with successful completion of Emergency Medicine Residency
- CT State license, CSR and Federal Narcotic Use Registration (DEA)
- Experienced Emergency Physicians and new Emergency Medicine Resident graduates are encouraged to apply
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Available for variable shifts, 10-12 hours, primarily between 10AM and 10PM, 0.6 FTE

Salary range:
$219,000 - $255,000 annually commensurate or relative to experience
