In this role, you will be working for a rural facility which can be quite different from one in a more urban setting. As the primary EM physician, you will play a crucial role due to the limited availability of healthcare services and facilities.

Key aspects to practicing at this facility:

• Broader scope of practice; will handle a wide range of cases from minor injuries to critical ones  due to limited availability of specialists and resources
• You will be more engaged to develop strong connections with your communities and be an advocate for education, health and wellness
• Emergency medicine physician will also work closely with nurses, paramedics, and local clinics to ensure coordinated patient care
• Engaged C-suite and leadership team

Abut the ED:

• 6 beds
• Annual ED volume of 12k
• 24 hours of MD coverage daily
• Physicians can work 24 hour shifts if approved
• Epic EMR
