Job Description
TeamHealth is seeking a medical director to help lead our strong emergency medicine (EM) team at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, West Virginia. Weirton Medical Center has been rated in the top 250 of Newsweek's "World's Best Hospitals 2023".
Weirton Medical Center:- Annual volume: 33,347
- Day Shift position, newly renovated ED.
- Morgantown based West Virginia University Health System, which operates under the brand name WVU Medicine, has expanded its community hospital through several recent acquisitions in the state, including Weirton Medical Center.
- 16 ED beds
- Medium acuity level, 19% admission rate
- 36 hours of daily physician coverage
- 20 hours of daily APC coverage
- EMR: Soarian
