Responsibilities
A hospital in west-central Wisconsin has an opening for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine coverage.
Opportunity Details:
Schedule: 10 or 12-hour shifts
No call shifts
Patient Volume: 1-2 admits per night
Med Surg Volume: 10-15 max
Annual ER Volume: 10k
No procedures
Support Staff: ER physician support
No ICU

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant state license
Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
One year of work experience as a Emergency Medicine/Hospitalist Physician
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
