  • We are looking for a full-time relationship-centered family physician to add to our team at our near-site employer-sponsored primary care clinic in Bakersfield, CA.

  • We provide high-quality, proactive primary care to adults and children in partnership with local employers or unions. We focus on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and maximizing provider-patient relationships.

  • We seek providers who are passionate about providing full-spectrum primary care resulting in top-notch clinical quality, outstanding service, and increased overall health outcomes.

Position Details

  • Patient population: employees and families of all ages down to 2 years

  • Schedule: Daytime hours, 4-5 days per week (flexible based on candidate)

Responsibilities
  • Average of 12-15 patients/day

  • Competitive base salary + bonus’

  • More time spent with patients to enhance relationships and build trust

  • Far less time with ICD-10 coding and admin work vs traditional primary care, and admin time is built into the schedule (no need to take home your work!)

  • The opportunity to really improve patient outcomes with a finite patient panel

Qualifications


  • ​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Active unencumbered physician California state license

  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program

  • One year of work experience as Family Practice Physician

  • One year of Epic experience

  • Board Certified


SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:


  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
