Responsibilities

Partnered with a leading hospital on the Gulf Coast of Florida that has a position for a Transplant Hepatologist to join their team full-time.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday or Monday-Sunday, 9-hour day shifts

  • Call Requirement: 1:10 call, mainly consults, rare to be called in

  • Patient Volume: High volume, ~200 transplants per year

  • Setting: Hospital and clinic

  • Procedures: Transplants, some endo

  • Team: 2 teams, with one seeing transplant patients and one seeing hepatology patients

  • Support Staff: 10 APPs, full subspecialty support

  • EMR: Epic Phoenix

  • Must be board-certified

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Active unencumbered MD or DO Florida state license

  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program

  • One year of work experience as a Hepatologist

  • One year of EMR experience

  • Board Certified

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:
