HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center and is pursuing Level II verification by the American College of Surgeons.
About HCA Orange Park Trauma:
Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up (rarely called in)
The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage
General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service
The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives
2,000+ trauma patients in 2021
Covers all general surgery call for the hospital
Qualified Candidates:
Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care
Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions
No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction
Have current, unrestricted DEA registration
