This position offers a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule working the 7a-7p shift with our skilled and collegial hospital medicine (HM) team! Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients
- Work closely with with consulting physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient management
- Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans
- Facilitate patient discharges, including medication reconciliation, discharge summaries and follow-up arrangements
- Participate in hand-offs and ensure thorough communication between day and night teams
Qualifications- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of complex conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
