HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in conjunction with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM) is seeking an exceptional internal medicine physician to join as Transitional Year Program Director for our brand new program going live 7/1/2024
Qualified Candidates:
ABIM certification required
Per the ACGME formal requirements to be considered for Program Director, applicants must have:
Current/prior academic appointment as Associate Program Director or Program Director within the past five (5) years
Minimum of three (3) years of formal academic medicine appointments and training program administration experience
Documented scholarly activity in the form of research, publications, poster presentations, book chapters, etc. within the past five (5) years
Devote 30% FTE of non-clinical time to the administration of the program
Clinical duties are a mix of inpatient and outpatient general medicine
TY program will have 13 residents annually
Incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment with University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM)
Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
