Providence St Vincent Internal Medicine Residency Program is seeking an exceptional Clinician Educator with interest in both outpatient and inpatient medicine to become a core faculty member with our primary care organization. This long-standing, community-based, residency program that exists within a large tertiary care hospital matches outstanding residents (8 categorical and 4 preliminary interns each year) and enjoys an academic and collaborative atmosphere. Core faculty work primarily in an integrated faculty-resident continuity clinic, which utilizes an innovative Medical Home model, while also frequently attending on the inpatient wards, with a unique interdisciplinary bedside rounding model focused on a geographical unit. Additionally, faculty have ample administrative time to be engaged in multiple aspects of resident education and program development. Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine and have a passion for teaching. Located in Portland, Oregon - the jewel of the Pacific Northwest - the city has a vibrant urban culture and close proximity to mountains, forests, the beach, and sun-drenched central Oregon.
- Full-time position with direct care of your own patient panel, as well as precepting residents + protected FTE focused on academic responsibilities (including teaching, evaluations, scholarly activity and faculty development sessions)
- Includes both inpatient and outpatient patient care
- Work closely with GME leadership of the Internal Medicine Residency program to provide vision, leadership, collaboration, and supervision for the internal medicine residents and medical students
- Experienced physicians or early-career physicians with a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply
