Responsibilities
A leading medical center in southwestern Arizona with an opening for an Otolaryngologist to provide short-term locum coverage.
Opening Overview:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Call Requirement: ED and clinic call required one week per month each
Patient Volume: Usually no more than 20 per day
Patient Ages: All ages
Cases: Bread and butter ENT procedures (i.e., tubes, tonsils, sinus, septoplasty, turbinate reduction, nasal cautery, etc.)
Setting: Outpatient and inpatient
Support Staff: 2 audiologists, ototech, and MAs
EMR: Epic
Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Arizona state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Otolaryngologist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
