Affiliated with Norwalk Hospital, Nuvance Health is seeking a full-time out-patient only Primary Care Physician for our Norwalk Primary Care Women’s Health practice in Norwalk, Connecticut. We are located in suburban Fairfield County just 50 miles outside of New York City along the Connecticut shoreline and just 10 minutes from Norwalk Hospital. This is a family-friendly location with close proximity to NYC and easily accessible via train.
From reproductive health and pregnancy to osteoporosis and heart disease, the health care needs of women are different from those of men. This is an exciting newly created practice. We are seeking two Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physicians and an Advanced Practice Provider to see adults. This unique opportunity will co-locate many of the services required for a women’s health center into one convenient location for physician and ambulatory services including state-of-the-art imaging with continued expansion over the next several years. This location offers us the unique opportunity to create a best-in-class women’s health center by pulling the existing elements together into a comprehensive women’s program. We are creating a female-centric primary care designed with the female patient at its heart – from the services offered to the aesthetics of the waiting room, exam rooms, restrooms and lactation rooms, to name a few. Care coordination will be key to ensuring a seamless experience for the patients entering the women’s health center and utilization of highly skilled care navigators will be a necessity.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match. Hiring bonus may also be available.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. Norwalk Primary Care is utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across l our hospitals and sites.

- Virtual scribes – to reduce charting time and enable clinicians to work top of license with more face-to-face time with their patients
- Daily Management Systems to ensure collaboration and problem solving occurs at the practice level – the clinicians and support staff know how best to solve for complex challenges
- Pharmacist support for the most complex chronic patients (uncontrolled diabetes)

Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
- Have successfully completed a Family or Internal Medicine Residency. Experience preferred but new Residents are encouraged to apply
- Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
- After-hour coverage – light call volume to physician, shared among multiple providers to decrease call frequency, phone-calls only (after nurse triages first line)
- Bi-lingual Spanish skills a plus

Salary range:
$275,000 - $325,000 annually commensurate or relative to experience
