Responsibilities
A hospital in Washington, D.C., with openings for radiologists to provide flexible locums coverage, either onsite or via teleradiology.
This opportunity offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases, focusing primarily on body and abdominal imaging.
Opportunity Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Flexible scheduling options available, including part-time)
Caseload: Approximately 45 cases per day, focusing on body/abdominal imaging (CT, MRI, and US), with some chest cases
Tele or Onsite: Both onsite and teleradiology options available (laptop provided for tele-rad; monitors not included)
Call Requirements: No on-call duties; however, after-hours work may be discussed if interested
Teaching Responsibilities: None required, but there is flexibility for residents to pre-dictate cases for review
Qualifications: Board eligibility is accepted; recent program completion (within the last three years) is preferred. Fellowship or experience in body/abdominal imaging is highly desirable
EMR: Powerscribe; PACS: MERGE
Procedures: Major procedures are not required, but may perform 1-2 minor procedures per day

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered District of Columbia physician state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Radiologist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
