Responsibilities
An opportunity available for a locum Breast Imager at a hospital-based Breast Center in Western Oregon. This locum opening offers a structured schedule and a supportive environment dedicated to patient care.
Position Details:
Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
Trauma Level: 4 (No ER volume).
Focus: Dedicated Breast Imaging role—no general radiology duties.
Technology: Powerscribe dictation into EPIC with EPIC Mammography reporting.
Facilities:
Silverton: 1 mammography room, 2 ultrasound rooms.
Imaging Center: 1 mammography room, 1 ultrasound room (only screening exams performed).
Team:
250 radiologists in the Seattle-based practice, with the Breast Imager serving as the on-site physician.
Support staff includes 2 daytime ultrasound techs, 1 mammography tech, and 1 breast navigator.
Role Support: Breast navigator assists in stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and coordinates follow-up care for mammography patients.
Patient Demographic: Adult patients.

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Radiologist Oregon state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Radiologist/Mammography
One year of Epic experience
Board Certified

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
