Responsibilities
A hospital in northern California has an opportunity for an Interventional Radiologist to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Details:
Schedule: 8a-4:30p, night call after 4:30p, weekend shifts included
Patient Volume: 50 studies per day, 5-8 procedures per day
Admissions per Day: 12-15
Patients per Day: ED daily volume is 85-90 patients, average daily inpatient/OB census is ~50 patients (includes ICU and OB)
Required Procedures: IR procedures, CT/US biopsies, barium studies, and lumbar punctures
Types of Cases: Surgical, medical, ICU, and OB
Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and techs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Radiologist California state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as Vascular and Interventional Radiologist
One year of Cerner experience
Board Certified

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
