JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Diagnostic Radiology
Shift Timings: 07:30 - 20:00 Hours Monday to Friday 12 hours/ 3 days.
Per week: 36 Hours
BLS, ARRT - Wisconsin Radiography License in hand at time of submission;
Shift Details: 3 x 12 hour shifts/ week, 07:30-20:00, Thur, Fri, Sat (off Sun), Mon, Tues, Wed (off until next Thur);
Call: no call; Weekends: as scheduled in rotation; Holidays: if it falls within scheduled 3x12 rotation;
Responsibilities
Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current CT Technologist experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
Active unencumbered Wisconsin CT Tech/Radiology Tech state license
One year of Epic experience
Accredited Registered Radiology Technologist
