JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Surgery

Shift Timings: 06:45-19:15 Hours Monday to Friday (5 Days/12 Hours)

Per Week: 36 Hours

• This is for a Cardiac OR Candidates must be proficient in open heart bypass cases

• (Must have experience with: Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Valve repairs/replacements, Aortic Dissections - heart transplant (transplant preferred not required)

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.

• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.

• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.

• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.

• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.

• Tracking surgical supplies.

• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.

• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.

• Helping provide great patient care.

• ​​​​BLS and ACLS

• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• The ability to stand for extended periods.

• Strong technical skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Passionate about patient care

• Requires a minimum of two years of current Certified Surgical Tech experience

• Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program

• Active unencumbered Tennessee Surgical Tech state license

• One year of Epic experience
