JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Surgery
Shift Timings: 06:45-19:15 Hours Monday to Friday (5 Days/12 Hours)
Per Week: 36 Hours
This is for a Cardiac OR Candidates must be proficient in open heart bypass cases
(Must have experience with: Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Valve repairs/replacements, Aortic Dissections - heart transplant (transplant preferred not required)

Responsibilities
Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
Tracking surgical supplies.
Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
Helping provide great patient care.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current Certified Surgical Tech experience
Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program
Active unencumbered Tennessee Surgical Tech state license
One year of Epic experience
Requirements
