Responsibilities
Collaborating with a facility in Dallas, Texas, with an opening for a Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team.
About the Opening:
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 8-hour shifts
Call Requirement: Emergency department beeper call
Setting: Operating room-based, emergency department
Endo-vein harvesting and ECMO required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Texas Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license
Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
One year of work experience as Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
One year of Epic experience
Board Certified
MUST have experience harvesting endo-veins, ECMO, and OR experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
