Job Description

Job Title: Travel Contract – Nuclear Med Tech

Number of positions: 1

Years of experience: One to three years

Shift: Night shifts– 40 hours

Duration: 13 weeks

Summary

Department: Nuclear Medicine

Shift timings: 07:00-16:00 Monday to Friday (8 Hours/5 Days)

Per Week: 40 Hours

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.​


Qualifications


  • ​​​​BLS and ACLS

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • ​Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • The ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Passionate about patient care

  • Requires a minimum of three years of current Nuclear Med Tech experience.

  • Graduate from a fully accredited Nuclear Med Tech program

  • Active unencumbered Idaho Nuclear Med Tech state license

  • One year of Epic experience

  • ARRT Certification

  • Required a minimum of 3 year of Experience.

  • Certifications/License Required: ARRT Nuclear Med or CNMT

· COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
